The flag of Montenegro has an aspect ratio of 1:2. It consists of three horizontal stripes: red (#B22418) on top, blue (#214F8C) in the middle, and white (#FFFFFF) at the bottom. The blue stripe is twice as wide as each of the red and white stripes.

In the center of the blue stripe, there is a circular emblem with a double-headed eagle, which is topped by a crown. The eagle and some other details within the emblem are in gold color (#D3AE3B). The circular emblem has a diameter equal to 1/3 of the total width of the flag.
