The flag of Vanuatu consists of two equal horizontal bands of red (top) and green with a black isosceles triangle based on the hoist side. Inside the triangle is a yellow boar's tusk encircling two crossed namele leaves, all in yellow. The aspect ratio of the flag is 5:7. The black triangle measures 1/2 the width of the flag and its height is equal to the width of the red and green bands. The boar's tusk and namele leaves are each situated 1/8th of the distance from hoist to fly. The color codes for the flag are:
