Description
The flag of Burundi has a proportion of 3:5 and consists of three equal horizontal bands of red, white, and green colors. The red band on the top represents the country's struggle for independence and independence itself; the white middle band symbolizes peace, and the green bottom stripe represents hope for the nation's future. The center of the flag features a white disk with three six-pointed stars arranged in a triangular formation, which represents the three ethnic groups of Burundi - the Hutu, Tutsi, and Twa. The diameter of the disk is two-thirds the height of the flag.
