Description
The flag of Mexico consists of three vertical stripes in green, white, and red, with the national coat of arms centered in the white stripe. The aspect ratio of the flag is 4:7. The colors used in the flag are specified by law to be:
- Green: Pantone 3425C / RGB 0, 104, 71 / CMYK 100, 0, 32, 59
- White: No specific Pantone code / RGB 255, 255, 255 / CMYK 0, 0, 0, 0
- Red: Pantone 186C / RGB 206, 17, 38 / CMYK 0, 100, 82, 19
The coat of arms features an eagle perched on a cactus with a snake in its beak, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves, and the words "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" (United Mexican States) in a semicircle below.
The geometric properties and measurements of the flag are as follows:
- The overall height of the flag is 196 units.
- The width of each stripe is 1/3 of the height of the flag.
