The flag of North Macedonia is a rectangular flag with an official aspect ratio of 2:3. It features a yellow Sun of Vergina on a red background with eight alternating pointed and round sun rays. The sun is centered in the middle of the flag, occupying approximately one-third of the hoist. The remaining area is split horizontally into two equal parts - a golden yellow on top and a crimson red on the bottom.
