The flag of Sri Lanka is a 2:3 ratio rectangular banner with a golden yellow lion holding a sword in the center, and four rectangular sections of red and green in the corners of the banner. The top left corner is green, the bottom left corner is red, the top right corner is red, and the bottom right corner is green. The hoist side of the flag contains two vertical stripes of equal width, the outer one is red, and the inner one is saffron in color.
