Description
The flag of British Virgin Islands consists of a blue field with the Union Jack in the upper left corner, and the coat of arms centered on the right half. The coat of arms depicts Saint Ursula holding a palm frond in her right hand and a lamp in her left, surrounded by eleven silver discs, which represent the eleven thousand virgins after whom the islands were named. The flag has an aspect ratio of 1:2 and its geometric properties include a length of 183 cm and a width of 91.5 cm. The colors used in the flag are:
