The flag of Tanzania consists of two equal-sized horizontal bands: the top band is green and the bottom band is blue. The green band represents the country's natural resources and the blue band represents the sea which surrounds the country. In the center of the flag, there is a black diagonal stripe with a yellow border. The diagonal stripe represents the African people, while the yellow border represents the country's mineral wealth.
